CMHA is proud to be partnering with the Mysterious Barricades Concert Society and the Canadian Association of Suicide Prevention in supporting the second annual Mysterious Barricades’ cross-country concert series on World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10, 2017.
This event will feature 15 free concerts from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Victoria, British Columbia, featuring some of Canada’s finest artists and performers coming together to raise awareness of suicide, suicide prevention and to support those at risk of and impacted by suicide.
Performances will feature a variety of musical styles – including classical vocal and instrumental, spoken word, jazz, choral and Indigenous. From sunrise to sunset, the series of concerts will take place in cities from coast to coast for 21 continuous hours. The Vancouver concert will take place at 8:00 pm on September 10 at the Roy Barnett Recital Hall at UBC.
