Mental Health Voices

Mental Health Voices is an annual event that celebrates recovery, raises awareness, and supports various community programs of CMHA branches around BC. Through dynamic stories from live speakers as well as video presentations, the event showcases accomplishments and provides an overview of future goals.

The complimentary breakfast or dinner event is held at several CMHA branches each year, and donations made by guests allow branches to maintain and expand their community programs. Past programs have included many diverse initiatives, such as homeless outreach, supported housing, employment, recreation, public education, and other direct services.

Mental Health Voices Award

A highlight of the event is the presentation of the Mental Health Voices Award. It is given to an individual who has shown courage, raised awareness, or encouraged acceptance and help for people with mental illness.

We appreciate the generous gift from Pacific Blue Cross. 2008-2011 Mental Health Voices DVDs were sponsored entirely through a corporate donation and thereby raised additional funds to be spent in local BC communities to support people with a mental illness.
